In case you hold one of the following Hungarian documents, the passport application takes cca. 1-1,5 months:
- valid Hungarian passport, or Hungarian passport expired within one year from the date of application;
- valid Hungarian ID card;
- certificate of naturalization
- valid certificate of Hungarian citizenship
- card of domicile (proving that the Hungarian citizens in incuded in the Registry of Hungarian Citizens)
In case you does not hold any of the above mentioned documents, but your citizenship has been verified before (e.g. your passport has expired more than one year from now), you can still proceed to book an appointment, but your passport application will include the examination of your citizenship "ex-officio", and makes the procedure longer (cca. half year long). In this case, please choose the service "PASSPORT + VERIFICATION OF CITIZENSHIP" while booking an appointment.
